McLean, VA (July 13, 2020) – The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) is hosting “Newest Developments in Medical-related Fields”, a 90-minute virtual panel discussion.The participants are recognized and accomplished specialists in medicine and alumni of the prestigious Research Science Institute, sponsored collaboratively with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The panel will be moderated by Soham Roy, MD, FACS, FAAP (RSI ’86), Professor and Vice Chairman, Department of Otorhinolaryngology -  Head and Neck Surgery, University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. Other distinguished panelists include

  • Frederick Y. Chen (RSI ’86), MD, PhD
    Chief, Division of Cardiac Surgery, Tufts Medical Center and Professor of Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine
    Dr. Chen’s practice encompasses the entire spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Chen graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, and he earned a PhD from Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Division.
  • Aimee Crago (RSI ’90), MD, PhD
    Surgical Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
    Dr. Crago earned her PhD at the University of Cambridge as a British Marshall Scholar and her MD in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology before training in surgery and surgical oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
  • Jason Koh (RSI ’85), MD, MBA
    Mark R. Neaman Family Chair of Orthopedic Surgery, NorthShore University HealthSystem; Director, NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute; Clinical Professor, University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine; Adjunct Professor, Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering
    Dr. Koh received his MD from Johns Hopkins, followed by internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He received his MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, with additional coursework at Harvard Business School.
  • Anthony J. Lombardo (RSI ’84), MD, PhD
    Board certified ophthalmologist, Eye Surgeons of Indiana
    Dr. Lombardo is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive, cataract, and corneal surgery. He completed both his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Alabama, where he graduated cum laude. Numerous national awards, including grants from the National Institutes of Health, supported his four years of research.
