CEE to Host College & Career Panel

McLean, Va., February 6, 2023 – The Center for Excellence in Education’s (CEE) Teacher Enrichment Program presents a “College & Career Panel,” a cost-free webinar about career opportunities in Information Technology and in-demand computer skills that teachers and students will find useful in this digital era. This virtual program takes place on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, 5:00-6:15 p.m. ET via Zoom. Register here.

Distinguished speakers:

Mark Kantrowitz, a 1984 alumnus of CEE’s Research Science Institute (RSI), is an expert on student financial aid, scholarships, and student loans. His mission is to deliver practical information, advice and tools to students and their families for them to make informed decisions about planning and paying for college. He earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and philosophy from MIT and a M.S. degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a CEE Trustee and serves as Director of RSI.

Kelli Recher works for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the North America Program Lead for Ignite My Future. Kelli graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Education. She brings her 18 years of teaching experience as a middle school science educator to her role with TCS. She has represented Ignite My Future as a Learning Leader with her former school district and at local and national conferences.

Ben Wood is the Vice President of IT at Infineon and has help IT Project and Operations Management positions in multiple locations globally. He is also a former Systems Engineer and IT Strategist with Infineon. Ben holds an MBA in Global Management and a BS in Business/Marketing Administration. He has over 20 years of international experience leading, organizing, managing, or participating in teams to achieve corporate objectives.

Jonathan Ebert is a Business Analyst from the Technology and Innovation team at Tata Consultancy Services. Jonathan earned a B.S. degree in Computing & Information Sciences from the University of North Florida. Jonathan supports STEM education programs that are run by TCS through its Corporate Social Responsibility team, positively impacting educators and students across the globe through its technology work.

About CEE’s Teacher Enrichment Program

CEE’s Teacher Enrichment Program provides unique STEM opportunities for high school teachers to take back to their classrooms. All TEP resources and professional development events are cost-free to participants. To date, more than 4,000 teachers from over 1,400 schools have participated.
