This novel and cost free professional development opportunity will showcase four teachers who are currently serving as Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellows at National Science Foundation (NSF) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
The Teacher Roundtable provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to interact with nationally recognized, award-wining teachers in STEM fields. About the Center for Excellence in Education
The Center for Excellence in Education was founded in 1983 by the late Admiral H.G. Rickover and Joann P. DiGennaro, President of the Center. The Center's mission is to nurture high school and university scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and to encourage collaboration between and among leaders in the global community. CEE sponsors the Research Science Institute (RSI), the USA Biology Olympiad (USABO), and the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP). All the Center’s programs are designed to assure U.S. innovation, competitiveness, and international collaboration among the world’s future leaders.
About the Einstein Fellowship: The Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program provides a unique professional development opportunity for accomplished K-12 educators in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to serve in the national education arena. Fellows spend eleven months working in a Federal agency or in a U.S. Congressional office, bringing their extensive knowledge and experience in the classroom to education program and/or education policy efforts. The Triangle Coalition for STEM Education administers the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program on behalf of the US Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with other participating federal agencies.
