Charles Farmer Named Manager of CEE’S National Lab Skills Initiative (NLSI)

McLean, VA – January 5, 2010 – The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) announces Mr. Charles Farmer as Manager of the National Lab Skills Initiative (NLSI). Mr. Farmer brings to the position his senior management experience in the private sector along with expertise in administering large scale organizational roll outs.

“This CEE initiative focuses on lab skills in secondary education, and it is my goal to make a pertinent difference in STEM education, “said Mr. Charles Farmer. “CEE is committed to creating national reform in lab skills, and I look forward to being part of this change.”

The NLSI will support rural and urban underserved teachers with a clearinghouse of science programs and online laboratory activities. NLSI joins CEE’s Research Science Institute (RSI) and USA Biology Olympiad (USABO) in offering premiere educational opportunities at no cost to teachers and students in U.S. high schools.
